Quincy is a kid that has questions. Lots and lots of questions. He wants to know how people found out lightning is electricity, how fire was discovered, and who invented flying machines. But, he has very few answers. Quincy is in a quandary until his mom takes him to the library where he finds all kinds of books that answer his questions!
Using a combination of TV style hand puppetry and shadow puppetry, Runaway Puppet Theater tries to help Quincy answer his questions, and introduces him to some famous "questioners" from history.

Benjamin Franklin was a statesman, an accomplished writer, and a scientist. During his lifetime, Franklin became very interested in electricity. Franklin asked the question if lightning was electricity. With the help of his son William, and William's kite, Franklin tries to find the answer to his question.
Before science was used to answer questions, people made up stories to explain how things happened. One of the stories told by the Native American's was about the Rainbow Crow who brought fire into the world. When the temperature begins to drop in the forest and the pond freezes, the animals decide to send Rainbow Crow, the most colorful bird with the best singing voice to the Great Spirit to find a way to be warm again. The Great Spirit gives Rainbow Crow fire. But can Rainbow Crow get the fire back to the forest before it burns out?
Leonardo DaVinci was one of the most prolific inventors of all time. But, when he was a kid, his mom didn't appreciate his inventions. Leonardo decides he'll make something really useful and tries to come up with a way to make people fly. Leonardo goes through a series of different methods and contraptions trying to get his neighbor, Mr. Vetruvian, to soar through the sky like a bird.
